Madonna takes A-Rod on party circuit

Madonna has been introducing Alex Rodriguez to all her mates, giving rise to the possibility that he’s stepping in to fill Guy Ritchie’s shoes as the next Mr Madge.
The 50-year-old pop dragon recently held a dinner party for close friends so she could introduce them all to the 33-year-old baseball star, known in baseball circles as A-Rod.
It wasn’t long before the news flew across the pond and landed in estranged husband Guy Ritchie’s ear. A source told the Daily Mirror: “It is a massive slap in the face for Guy and he really finds the whole thing quite embarrassing.
“As you can imagine, both he and Madonna share a lot of mutual friends who they still keep in touch with. Guy found out through one of them about this party and was pretty p***ed off about the whole thing.”
The source added: “He thought it showed a great deal of disrespect to him so soon after the announcement of the break-up.”
A-Rod is one of the richest and most successful sportsmen in America, coining an impressive $28m (£18m) salary playing for the New York Yankees.
